The saddles I build are tooled by my wife, Carolee. Our work reflects the old 'Hamley Saddlery' style lines and attention to detail, expert craftsmanship and quality that the horseman needed back then, and still needs today. As I buckarooed on ranches in the north and punched cows in the south, I worked with cowboys of the highest caliber who showed the same traits I grew up with. The needs of these men and women and the needs of their horses are incorporated into the custom saddles we build today. But we realize that the requirements of a working cowboy putting in a 30 to 60 mile day on horse back are different from a casual rider, show rider, or a rider needing a light weight saddle. We make our saddles to fit the needs of our customers, providing quality and comfort for you and your horse.

Our Goal

Your saddle is custom fit to both you and your horse. Based on our first-hand knowledge of horses and what fits each breed of horse, and the variations within each breed, we have very specific questions that we ask to provide ourselves with the information we need to fit your horse and you. By our taking the time to listen to you and explaining why we ask these questions, you have a better understanding of your saddle and why it will fit. We have fit our custom saddles in this manner for over 22 years and we have an outstanding track record.
